Three packaged engagements built around the work I do best. Each one has a clear scope, a clear deliverable, and a starting price – so you know what you're getting before we even talk.

If what you need doesn't fit any of these neatly, that's fine too. Send me an email and we'll figure it out together.

1. Infrastructure audit & roadmap

Starting from €1.400 – typical engagement: 1 to 2 weeks

A focused review of your current infrastructure with concrete, prioritized recommendations. Ideal for businesses that have grown organically and now suspect their setup has accumulated technical debt – but don't have the time or in-house expertise to figure out where the real problems are.

What you get:

  • A structured walkthrough of your current servers, network, backups, monitoring, and key services
  • A written report identifying risks, single points of failure, security gaps, and modernization opportunities
  • A prioritized roadmap with rough effort estimates for each recommendation
  • A 60-minute walkthrough call to discuss findings and answer questions

Best for: SMBs with 5-50 employees, MSPs taking over a new client environment, or any team that needs an honest second opinion on their infrastructure before making a big decision.

What's not included: Implementation of the recommendations. Those become a separate engagement if you want me to do them, or you can hand the report to your existing team.

2. Network automation projects

Starting from €3.500 – typical engagement: 3 to 6 weeks

Replacing click-ops on network gear with version-controlled, auditable, repeatable automation. If you're managing multiple sites or many devices and still configuring them by hand through vendor web UIs, this is for you.

What you get:

  • A Git repository containing Ansible playbooks (or equivalent) for your network devices
  • Staged rollout strategy – dev, staging, production – so changes are tested before they touch live gear
  • CI/CD pipeline integration so configuration changes go through review before deployment
  • Documentation and runbooks for your team
  • Knowledge transfer sessions so your engineers can extend and maintain the automation

Tech I work with: Ansible, Git, GitLab/GitHub Actions, Draytek, MikroTik, FortiGate, Cisco IOS, Arista EOS. If your gear isn't on this list, ask – most modern network equipment has an Ansible collection.

Best for: ISPs, MSPs, hosting providers, and any business managing 10+ network devices across one or more locations.

3. Monitoring stack setup & cleanup

Starting from €2.200 – typical engagement: 2 to 4 weeks

You probably already have monitoring. The question is whether anyone actually uses it. Most infrastructure I see has Prometheus running, a Grafana dashboard nobody opens, alert rules from 2020 that nobody trusts, and logs that go nowhere. I fix that.

What you get:

  • A working Prometheus + Grafana + Loki (or similar) stack tuned to your environment
  • Dashboards your team will actually look at – focused on the metrics that matter to your business
  • Alert rules that fire on real problems, not on noise
  • Log aggregation with searchable history
  • A runbook for the most common alerts so on-call doesn't have to think
  • Optional: Uptime Kuma or similar for external monitoring

Best for: Any team with infrastructure complex enough to need observability but without a dedicated platform engineer to set it up properly.

Why this matters: Bad monitoring is worse than no monitoring. It teaches your team to ignore alerts, which means real problems get missed. Cleaning up monitoring is one of the highest-leverage things you can do for system reliability.

Other things I do

The three packages above are my main offerings, but I'm available for related work as well – usually as hourly or short-engagement projects:

  • Linux server administration – provisioning, hardening, maintenance, troubleshooting
  • Proxmox cluster setup and migration – VM and container infrastructure
  • Docker / Kubernetes (k3s) projects – containerization, orchestration, GitOps with FluxCD
  • CI/CD pipeline setup – GitLab CI, GitHub Actions, automated testing and deployment
  • Authentication and SSO – Authentik, OAuth, identity management
  • Backup strategy review and implementation – because the day you need backups, you really need them
  • Documentation rescue – turning tribal knowledge into actual documentation

If any of these are on your list, let's talk.

Rates for hourly work

For projects outside the packages above, my hourly rates are:

  • €70/hour – sysadmin, networking, infrastructure, general engineering
  • €80/hour – CI/CD pipelines and DevOps automation work
  • €0,23/km – travel costs outside the Twente region (within Twente: free)

All prices are excluding 21% BTW.

How to get started

  1. Send an email at [email protected] describing what you're working on.
  2. We schedule a free 30-minute intake call to discuss whether what you need is something I can help with.
  3. I send you a written quote within a few days, with clear scope and price.
  4. You say yes (or no, or "let me think about it"), and we go from there.

No pressure, no sales tactics, no "limited time offers." Just an honest conversation about whether we're a good fit.
